Dr. Paul Achleitner


Paul Achleitner is a venture investor, mentor and advisor.

He is and was a Non-Executive Director in a number of public companies in the automotive (Daimler, MAN), pharmaceutical (Bayer), energy (RIVE), fast moving consumer goods industries (Henkel) as well as financial services (DB). His most visible mandate was the Chairmanship of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank from 2012 to 2022, whose Global Advisory Board he still chairs.

His career led him from Bain Consulting in Boston via Goldman Sachs (NY, London, Frankfurt) to Allianz in Munich, where he was CFO from 2000 to 2012.

He received his education at the University of St. Gallen and Harvard Business School, still serving these two institutions as President of the foundation and Advisory Board member respectively. Other current and past advisory board roles include the Alfred Herrhausen Society, Allianz, Bain & Co, the Brookings Institution, Hakluyt, the Hong Kong/EU Business Council as well as the Munich Security Conference. He has served on multiple German government commissions.

An Austrian citizen, he lives in Munich together with his wife Ann-Kristin. He holds a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen and is Professor emeritus of WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management as well as an honorary senator of both these universities.

Amir Husain


Amir Husain is a serial entrepreneur, technologist, and author based in Austin, Texas. He graduated from UT Austin in 1998 with a B.S. in computer science and has received widespread recognition for his work in artificial intelligence. Amir is the Founder and CEO of the award-winning AI company, SparkCognition, the founding CEO of SkyGrid, a Boeing and SparkCognition company building the aerial operating system to power the next century of aviation and Chairman of Navigate, a global, crowdsourced data ecosystem company.

An avid inventor, Amir has been awarded over 30 patents in AI and distributed systems. He serves on NATO's Innovation Advisory Board and on the Board of Global Venture Bridge, bringing together international entrepreneurs. His work has been featured in world-leading outlets such as the BBC, Fortune, Forbes and Proceedings from the U.S. Naval Institute, among many others. He is the author of the best-selling book "The Sentient Machine", a co-author of the compilation "Hyperwar: Conflict and Competition in the AI Century", and has recently published two new books, "Generative Art" and "Generative AI for Leaders."

Zaib Husain


Zaib runs her family office, Hyder Ventures and is also a founding partner at Global Venture Bridge. She invests in and advises startups across the globe.

Zaib is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and London University and has over 25 years of experience in the financial realm. She works with several non profit organizations and also serves on the advisory council for the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.
